Walk through the years with me

2009

Picture this: I’m 12 years old with my little Sony Ericsson phone, I’m the self-proclaimed camera girl, taking all the group pics at lunchtime at school.

2010

I get my first camera! It’s a Sony DSC-W310 point and shoot (way ahead of its time). I’m taking pictures of anything and everything. With Picnik as my go-to editing tool, I was unstoppable.

2012

My first DSLR lands in my lap, a Canon 550D. My absolute pride and joy. This kickstarted my unofficial school photographer gig. My title of camera b*tch became pretty serious.

While I’m smashing through high school, uni, work, moving out, my camera goes through waves of coming out of the cupboard. I’m still snapping for fun, and doing the odd ‘gig’ for anyone who asks.

2020

I take the leap and get my first professional DSLR and Mellow Lane Co. is born. I’m learning how to do this whole freelance photography thing while working full time (and I still am!).

Today

It’s fun, it’s exhausting, but it’s exactly where I’m meant to be.
